Other than a few screw-ups the movie was AWESOME!

The screw-ups were:

-In the books only Darren's sister learned he was a vampire in the final book.

-Cormac Limbs was a man in the books.

-Sam Grest and RV from the second book are completely written out.

-Steve has white hair in the book.

-Rebecca was in the thrid book-only Darren met her while visiting Mr. Crepsly's hometown at christmas-only, she was black, her name was Debbie Hemlock, She was NOT a freak (no monkey tail), and she had no knowledge of the Cirque Du Freak.

-Vampaneze are supposed to have red teeth, eyes, nails, and hair with purple skin (Or something like that)

-Darren doesn't meet up with Steve again until he is an adult and pretends to be a Vampaneze hunter-when they really blooded him as a half-vampaneze and he turned out to be their lord.

-Little people's bodies are stitched together from the corpses of the dead.

-Little people need to wear special surgical masks because oxygen is toxic to them.

-The theater battle DOES happen but, with Steve instead of Murlough

-Vampires cannot live off of animal blood indefinitely-they will die without humans to feed on, animal blood can only sustain them for a few months at best.

-Murlough slaughters people in Mr. Crepsly's hometown-sucking their blood dry and killing for pleasure (which is frowned upon in both clans.) and kidnaps Evra, (not Debbie/Rebecca) and threatens to kill him and drink his blood.

-Vampires cannot drink blood of certain fish, snakes, or other animals (poison.)

-Steve carves a cross in his palm and swears on the blood that drips from it that he will kill both Mr. Crepsly AND Darren when he confronts them after Mr. Crepsly digs Darren up.

Other than those (I don't blame most of them-because of things like budget and run-time)

It was actually pretty good-4.5 stars out of 5 I'd recommend you go see it-especially if your a fan of Darren Shan's work or just vampires in general. (No pun intended.)
