Yeah, that's the best I can say so far-I'm working on SOMETHING.
I don't know if I just want it to be a novel or a whole series-or if this is even one I'll actually get DONE...Hell, I don't even have a NAME for it yet!
But, I guess I can leak a few character bios and basic information about the world (hopefully it won't spoil things TOO much)
This is co-habitated dystopian future world with furry/anthros who appeared sometime in the latter half of the 21st century and the earlier half of the 22nd.
Humans are present but are far and few between, since the majority of them chose isolation in the fear that anthro species would decide to wipe them out after The Species War and while few are hostile and treat each other with suspicion from time to time some have learned to live in peace-but, only a few.
Machines or 'Mechs' as they are more commonly referred to had gained sentience and saw themselves as nothing more than slaves for organic races rebelled twelve years prior to the story's beginning, and starteda rebellion that became know as 'The Great Machine War' which is still on-going.
What has made Mechs such a terrifying presence are the facts that they don't get tired, they don't requie food, water, or sleep, they don't require oxygen, so the use of poisonous gases and toxic nerve agents are often used, with the majority of their arsenal being built into their armor or installed via upgrades, they have no real supply lines to hit.
There are positives to this however, desiring nothing more than their own independence, Mechs will resist fighting unarmed civillians, infants, and children as they are not a direct threat to them, they also accept surrender and taking prisoners, unless they determine a logical reason to execute them.
They also seem to leave human settlements alone for the most part, it has been speculated that since their technology did not advance after The Species War they were not responsible for the Mechs perceived enslavement, there have been exceptions however, with humans that show hostility towards them, or expressed intentions of returning them to a life of servitude for combat purposes.
The Great Machine War has also worn anthro species thin, with the majority of non-essential civillians workers drafted into the conflict, since their officials believe that the Mechs intend to exterminate all organic life-this has also left many orphans over the years, many of which around the ages of 15 have also been dragged into the war.
There have also been certain tribes (mostly wolves) who have disavowed the use of advanced technology for fear of their people being dragged into the conflict, many of their warriors also carry unique telepathic abilities, the majority of which include; limited control of cellular generation (healing), pyrokenesis (the ability to telepathically create and control fire), cryokenesis (the ability to telepathically create and control ice), more moderate abilities include geokinesis (the control of rocks, earth, and sand), chlorokinesis (the control or animate plant life), and Illusions. The minority include Shadow manipulation, and Electrokinesis (the ability to generate and control electricity).
It is so far unknown if these abilities are genetic mutations, or as the tribes seem to believe-magic, although most scientists discount this possibility, they do believe that the more spiritual parts of one's brain determines how effective the use of their abilities can be, this is all just speculation however as there has been no proof or either theory and the wolf tribes have been unwilling to cooperate, thus far.
I'll start submitting some character bios if you're interested.
